The inspiration behind the theme for this edition of FAB stemmed from a dialogue between the curator Sarita Vijayan and Pritzker Laureate B V Doshi. In his message to the upcoming generation of visionary architects, Doshi emphasized the imperative to 'Give life a chance.'
Consequently, this edition revolves around the fundamental essence of LIFE - Looking Inward For the Environment. This theme has been intentionally chosen to initiate a meaningful journey for professionals, urging them to turn inward and reflect on a perennial question:
'How can we bequeath a better world for the future?'
FAB aims to catalyze introspection amid the backdrop of a rapidly declining environment and built architecture. This platform is crafted for those who are not afraid to ask the hard questions via the most potent medium – themselves.
The overall agenda spans several silos such as philosophy, design innovation, new materials, technology, cultural exchanges, environment, inclusivity and many more. Most importantly, a profound engagement on these subjects will facilitate the cross-fertilisation of ideas and support the design community to collectively map out a better and more responsible future.
